I have been featured numerous times as a financial expert on Global TV, CTV, the Toronto Star, Huffington Post, Morningstar and a financial speaker to Microsoft Global and various companies and summits.
My job is to make money and financial education fun and easily accessible! I’m also a huge advocate of Canadians creating long-term relationships with their financial advisors to help their bottom line. I champion the independent financial brokerages and independent financial advisors who can truly find the right fit investments, products and strategies for their clients.
I’ve been a financial advisor for more than 20+ years now and remain passionately committed to helping my clients and their businesses get the right-fit investments and insurance guidance required to achieve their goals. My scope of services revolves around organizing your financial affairs; teaching you solid financial principles and helping you understand your current portfolios.
My professional training for this career started by enrolling in and graduating from with my Diploma in Business Administration from Mount Royal University in 2000, before going on to study insurance and mutual funds in 2001. I received my Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2006, and my Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA) in 2009. I completed my Bachelor of Management through Athabasca University in 2012. As of August 2015, I have completed my Fellowship with the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), the most senior credential and highest honor in Canadian financial services and in 2017 completed my Elder Planning Counselor (EPC) designation to assist elders in estate planning.
And on top of it ALL, the MOST exciting thing I’ve done to date in my career is my CCS designation! I am a Certified Cashflow Specialist! It’s the most effective way to create lasting financial transformation, create clarity and fund your dreams!
I have also received the following designations: Responsible Investment Specialist (RIS) designation, Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) designation and Certified Executor Advisor (CEA) designation in 2020.
As a successful career woman that is also a mother of two beautiful girls – I live and work out of Cochrane. When I am not needed as a chauffeur, short order chef or personal banker to my girls, I enjoy skiing and training for marathons around Cochrane’s majestic lakes, or writing early in the morning with a warm cup of coffee. I love new adventures, and enjoy anything that involves traveling to new places to explore (even if it’s just a drive to the mountains or for a hill-top selfie). I have completed the Landmark Self-Expression and Leadership Program and a graduate of B-School. Regular visits with my parents in West Kelowna allow me to pursue another hobby of mine – wine! Whether out at the wineries or simply enjoying wine night with my girlfriends, wine presents the opportunity to break down walls and connect with others in a way that has contributed to many of the trusting relationships I hold dear to my heart.
I have experienced a lifetime of struggles and successes over the past 41 years of my life, and my personal and professional experiences provide me with an empathy that, when combined with my financial advisor expertise, makes me the perfect fit for those women who have always wanted to get ahead financially, but haven’t known where to start.
Trust me to get you started.
I represent the best the financial marketplace has to offer through my powerful relationships with top Canadian brokerages, and I am always happy to provide all my new clients with a free, no obligation review of their insurance portfolio and their investment portfolio.
I also do fee-based planning, fee-only planning or I work on commissions – whatever approach to financial planning you prefer.
